Before purchasing digital content, please check that your device and software can open the relevant format.
Our ebooks are normally supplied in PDF format. Audiobooks may be supplied in MP3, M4B or another format specified on the relevant product page.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your device supports the format described on the product page, except where the digital content itself is faulty or has been incorrectly described.
When you place an order through LinuxBooks.org, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
A contract is formed when we accept your order, normally by sending an order confirmation or making purchased digital content available to you.
Prices shown on LinuxBooks.org are in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated. Applicable delivery charges will be displayed before checkout.
Digital products are normally supplied electronically following successful payment.
This may be by:
Consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period for distance contracts. Different rules apply where digital content is supplied immediately.
Where you ask us to provide digital content during the cancellation period, we will ask you to expressly consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that your right to cancel will be lost once downloading or streaming begins.
Once supply of digital content has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement, you will no longer have the statutory right to cancel simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.
If you have purchased a digital product but are unable to download or access it, please contact us at sales@linuxbooks.org.
Unless stated otherwise, digital products purchased from Linux Books are licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You must not, without permission:
Buying a digital product does not transfer ownership of copyright or other intellectual property rights in the content.
Physical books will be delivered to the delivery address supplied when you place your order. Delivery charges and available delivery methods will be displayed during checkout where applicable.
If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order for physical goods within 14 days beginning the day after you receive the goods.
To cancel, contact: sales@linuxbooks.org.
After notifying us of your cancellation, you must return the goods within 14 days. Unless the product is faulty or incorrect, you are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods.
Where a valid cancellation applies, we will refund the price paid for the goods together with the cost of our standard delivery option where required by law.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount above our standard delivery charge.
All products supplied by Linux Books are subject to your statutory consumer rights.
If a physical book or digital product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Where a product page contains a link to Amazon or another third-party retailer, clicking the link takes you to an external website.
If you purchase the book from Amazon or another third-party retailer, your purchase is made from that retailer and not from Linux Books.
The third-party retailer's prices, payment arrangements, delivery terms, returns policy, privacy policy and terms and conditions will apply.
Some external links may be affiliate links. If Linux Books receives a commission or other benefit from qualifying purchases made through a link, we will provide an appropriate disclosure where required.
Using an affiliate link does not normally increase the price you pay.

Our books are provided for informational and educational purposes.
Computer software, Linux distributions, websites and technical procedures change over time. Commands, screenshots, menus, web addresses or software features may therefore differ after publication.
You should maintain appropriate backups before making significant changes to a computer, operating system or storage device.
Unless stated otherwise, the text, graphics, book content, website content, branding and other original material made available by Linux Books are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so, and nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
We will not be responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of any delay.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to your purchase will normally be those in force when your order was placed.
These Terms and any contract between you and Linux Books are governed by applicable UK law.
